The Unusual Ways of God
Our newest participant, Teresa, came to Bridge of Hope BuxMont in an unusual way. She heard about Bridge of Hope when her niece came home from school and told her mother about their school’s outreach project. The school asked Cheryl Swartley to come and do a presentation about Bridge of Hope BuxMont. Then the students and their teachers collected items for move-in kits.
The mother then told her sister (Teresa) about Bridge of Hope BuxMont. Teresa was living with her parents temporarily due to abuse by her husband . As her sister was shopping for the items for the move-in kits she was thinking how Teresa needed these things when she got an apartment in order to start a new life for her and her children. After filling out an application and interviewing with staff, Teresa was accepted into the program. Now she is getting ready to move to an apartment and will be receiving items from those move-in kits which her sister had helped fill.
God has been evident in many ways as God has led her to an apartment that will suit her needs and the landlord did not even require a credit report. Teresa’s faith is being strengthened as God has shown His guiding hand on the process by which Teresa heard about us, the application process, finding an apartment, and preparing the mentoring group for her. God is so good!
