Volunteer Mentoring Group

You can make a difference! Invite a  homeless single mother and her children into your heart, into your congregation and into God’s love.  You may be serving Christ   in disguise!

“I was a stranger and you invited me in.”  Matthew 25:35
It is easy to love someone similar to ourselves, but Jesus was the stranger.  Can our faith meet the test?

A mentoring group is comprised of 10-12 people from one congregation who provide practical assistance, friendship and support to one family participating in the Bridge of Hope BuxMont program.

Three Main Time Commitments of Mentoring

1)     Phone calls – Once a week – just to say hello and chat.

2)     One-on-one time – Each mentor should initiate a one-on-one activity every 4-6 weeks.

3)     Hope Nights – Attend the monthly Hope Nights in order to coordinate with your group, touch base with staff and interact with the participating family.

Text Box: Our church leadership team wanted to help a single mother in our congregation, but we just didn’t have the tools.  We were searching for a way to help and Bridge of Hope was there to lead us and teach us how.”                                                    Bill Blank, Pastor
